American Airlines to Move to Terminal A on Tuesday, Feb. 24

Sacramento, CA., February 13, 2015 — American Airlines will move from Terminal B to Terminal A effective Feb. 24, airport officials have announced.

American Airlines and US Airways have gradually consolidated operations since their merger began in December 2013. The move will allow American Airlines to be located next to the US Airways ticket counter in Terminal A.

American Airlines offers five daily nonstop flights to Los Angeles and four daily nonstop flights to Dallas.  The final flight from Terminal B, a nonstop to Los Angeles, will take place Monday evening, Feb. 23.

The closest parking for American Airlines passengers and those greeting them in Terminal A will be the garage.

US Airlines and American Airlines will continue to have separate ticket counters and to sell tickets on each other’s flights until the merger is complete, at which point the combined airline will operate under the American Airlines name.
